Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Alarm Systems in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and alarm response, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a corporate technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing authorized guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
