The Opportunity
Inclined is seeking a Senior Analyst to support and grow our analytics work across Risk Adjustment (RA) and related healthcare facing engagements. This role sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and health policy, supporting high-impact client work that informs how complex public health programs are evaluated and improved.
You will work closely with subject matter experts, analysts, and developers to deliver rigorous analytical work grounded in a deep understanding of healthcare data, policy, and program structures. You will contribute directly to model development, validation, and reporting while building the domain expertise needed to provide clear explanations and well-founded recommendations to clients. Over time, this role is expected to grow into a project and analytical leadership position, serving as a trusted partner to our clients.
This is a hybrid role (2–4 days per week in-office Arlington, VA) and is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on analysis, learning complex systems, and applying quantitative thinking to real-world policy and program challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of Risk Adjustment and related analytical contracts through hands-on data analysis, modeling, and reporting
- Develop a strong working understanding of CMS health data, including data structures, sources, and relevant policy context
- Contribute to model development, validation, and verification efforts, ensuring analytical rigor and clear documentation
- Perform exploratory analysis and testing to build independent understanding of data and models, validating findings with SMEs
- Translate analytical findings into clear explanations and recommendations for internal teams and client audiences
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and SMEs to support ongoing project delivery and improve analytical workflows
- Over time, take ownership of contract tasks and contribute to project planning, staffing input, and delivery optimization
- Support the development of Inclined's internal knowledge base and analytical best practices
What You Will Bring
- Strong quantitative and analytical thinking, with the ability to move between raw data, models, and insights
- Comfort working in large, structured data environments and developing intuition for complex datasets
- Experience thoughtfully leveraging AI and machine learning tools to improve the accuracy, efficiency, or scalability of complex analytical work

- Curiosity about emerging analytical technologies and a practical mindset for incorporating new tools into existing workflows in responsible, value-driven ways
- Curiosity and persistence in learning new domains, particularly health policy, and healthcare data
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to validate assumptions and findings with SMEs
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
- A consulting mindset: thoughtful problem framing, attention to client needs, and focus on actionable recommendations
- A collaborative, client-centric approach aligned with Inclined Analytics' values of independence, curiosity, and problem solving
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in quantitative analysis, analytics, or related roles, or equivalent experience combined with a relevant graduate degree
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative analytical methods, including statistics and model development or application
- Hands-on experience using analytical tools such as SQL and Python (R and Excel also relevant)

- Experience working with large, structured datasets in a professional or consulting environment
- Experience delivering analytical insights or recommendations to clients or stakeholders
- Background in consulting, analytics-driven strategy, or applied analytical roles where data informs decision-making
Desired Experience
- Experience with health policy, health data (PII/PHI), risk models, or healthcare billing is a strong plus but not required at hire
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted analytics techniques or tools (e.g., model-assisted analysis, automated feature exploration, or AI-supported validation workflows)
