The Senior Director of Investments is a senior strategic leader responsible for guiding Hanwha Defense USA’s investment strategy across manufacturing expansion, industrial capability development, and longterm corporate growth. This role integrates financial analysis, corporate development, and industrial strategy to identify and evaluate investments that strengthen our defense manufacturing footprint. The position partners with executive leadership assess capital deployment opportunities, evaluate partnerships or acquisitions, and ensure alignment with defense program requirements and enterprise growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial evaluation and strategic assessment of manufacturing investments, capital projects, and industrial capability expansion initiatives in the U.S. defense sector. 
• Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuations, risk assessments, and ROI analyses for new facility investments, production line buildouts, automation, and major technology upgrades. 
• Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisition opportunities related to manufacturing assets, supply chain resilience, and emerging defense capabilities. 
• Guide longterm strategic planning efforts by analyzing market trends, industrial base dynamics, competitive positioning, and U.S. defense customer priorities. 
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and program teams to assess manufacturing readiness, production scalability, and capital needs for major defense programs. 
• Support negotiations and due diligence activities for investment transactions, partnerships, or supply chain localization initiatives. 
• Develop investment proposals, strategic briefs, and executivelevel presentations for senior leadership across Hanwha’s U.S. and Korean organizations. 
• Strengthen corporate investment governance processes, including capital planning frameworks, investment criteria, and portfolio performance tracking. 
• Monitor and report on the financial performance and strategic impact of approved investments, ensuring alignment with budgets and long-range plans. 
• Represent Hanwha Defense USA in strategic discussions related to industrial expansion, manufacturing capability development, and corporate growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
• 10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment analysis, FP&A, strategic finance, defense manufacturing, or capitalintensive industries. 
• Experience in the U.S. defense industry, manufacturing operations, defense contracting, or industrial capital planning strongly preferred. 
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English required to communicate with global leadership and headquarters. 
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and capital investment analysis. 
• Strong understanding of defense production requirements, industrial base policy, and manufacturing technology trends. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving finance, operations, engineering, and executive leadership. 
• Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and global stakeholders. 
• Strong analytical thinking, problemsolving ability, and attention to detail. 
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced, growing organization.
