About the RoleÂ
As CoStar’s next Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStar’s software products.Â
This position is located in Arlington, VA and is onsite Monday – Thursday, option to work from home on Friday. Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ
Design and develop high performance web applications used by thousands of users globallyÂ
Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence Â
Influence CI/CD pipeline improvementsÂ
Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.Â
Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, and promote software development best practicesÂ
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices Â
Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStar’s business model / technologyÂ
Â
Basic QualificationsÂ
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit, in-person university or college.  Â
A track record of commitment to prior employers Â
3+ years of production development experience in modern technologies, like React, Vue, TypeScript, NodeJS, C#, .Net, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, NoSQLÂ
A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platformsÂ
Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Cloud Managed Services, etc.Â
Experience in Agile/Scrum processes, and Continuous delivery practicesÂ
Experienced in unit, performance, and automation testingÂ
Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building softwareÂ
Take an active role in mentoring developers with ability to build consensusÂ
Â
Preferred Qualifications and SkillsÂ
Experience managing a large Enterprise level code base, code quality and dependenciesÂ
Experience with React and/or Nodejs in particularÂ
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Commercial Real Estate (CRE) knowledge is a bonus Â

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation:Â $103,000 - $154,000 Annually
