Job DetailsJob Location: Arlington, TX 76018ISCAR METALS, INC., a dynamic and innovative cutting tool company, has an immediate opening for a Solid Round Cutting Tool Designer to join our team at our corporate office in Arlington, TX. Solid Round Cutting Tool Designer is responsible for designing special solid round tooling (end mills, drills) per customer requirements, creating detailed production drawings and utilizing ISCAR’s internal software system (PDM) used for managing special tooling services. Serve as department specialist for solid round tool design. Job Requirements Knowledge of Engineering practices Ability to read engineering detail drawings or part prints Understands metalworking - Ability to devise tooling/methods resulting in process improvement Cutting tool design experience, preferably involving solid carbide end mills and drills Familiarity with grinding machine software (preferred) (example: Anca ToolRoom / iGrind) Familiarity with CAD; CATIA v5 or most recent 3DX version (a plus) Communicate effectively, both written and verbally Coordinate with sales staff and engineering personnel in a multi-site environment Work independently or as part of a team Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) Education – postsecondary technical training or engineering degree (a plus)
