Sonic Summary

The position requires candidates to have or be eligible for Virginia licensure and a counseling endorsement, with a preference for dual endorsements in ESL or Special Education.
Applicants should have experience working with elementary-level students and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
The role involves effective communication and collaboration with principals, staff, and parents, as well as a strong sense of professionalism and teamwork.
Salary for the position will be determined based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
Candidates are expected to have a flexible, dependable, and organized approach to their work, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications:

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Counseling endorsement.
Elementary Education endorsement.
Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Experience:

Experience working with students on the elementary level.

Responsibilities:

Ability to communicate and work effectively with principal, staff and parents.
Ability and willingness to work as a team member with special education and general education staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to compromise.
Good initiative, flexibility, dependability and organizational skills.
Strong sense of professionalism.
Strong classroom management skills.

Salary:

Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
