  • This position is a 1.0 FTE role at the Grace Hopper Center (Pathways Program) for the SY27 academic year.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure and possess a Social Studies endorsement.
  • Experience working with high school students is required, along with strong interpersonal skills and proficiency with technology.
  • The salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
  • Preferred qualifications include a dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education.

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at the Grace Hopper Center (Pathways Program) for SY27. 

Qualifications: 

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
  • Social Studies endorsement.
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Experience: 

  • Experience working with high school students.
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
  • Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
  • Ability and experience with  a diverse population of students.
  • Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and effectively deliver the social studies curriculum.
  • Incorporate differentiated instruction into classroom delivery.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology applications to deliver instruction.
  • Work in collaborative teacher teams to plan and use data to inform instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Participate in required school and countywide professional development.

Salary: 

  • Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
