Job Summary

The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting testing processes for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in the manufacturing environment. This role designs test strategies, programs automated test equipment, analyzes test data, and supports troubleshooting to ensure products meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The Test Engineer works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve testing processes and ensure efficient product validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test strategies, plans, and procedures for PCBA testing to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Set up, program, and operate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for in-circuit testing (ICT) and functional testing (FCT) of PCBAs.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve failures or malfunctions in PCBAs and recommend design improvements for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Perform functional and performance testing of electronic circuits and components to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
  • Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and jigs used for functional and in-circuit testing to improve test efficiency and repeatability.
  • Create detailed test plans, test scripts, and reports documenting testing activities, defects, and results.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and design teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement automated test procedures using LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar software tools.
  • Ensure PCBAs comply with industry standards such as IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and applicable customer requirements.
  • Analyze test data and provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams regarding product performance and quality metrics.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by developing test strategies and validating testing processes for new designs.

Required Qualifications
