The Service Parts Handler at IAC – International Automotive Company is responsible for accurately identifying, retrieving, packaging, and staging automotive parts required for vehicle service and repair. This essential role supports technicians and ensures that the service workflow operates efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

Job Requirements:

  • Willing to learn Forklift
  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with computers and data entry preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, Delegating, Conflict resolution, Motivational and Team building skills.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to every employee on the floor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pull, inspect, and package parts according to service repair orders.
  • Ensure all parts are clean, undamaged, and labeled correctly before delivery.
  • Securely package parts to avoid damage in transit or during technician handling.
  • Verify correct part numbers, job numbers, and quantities before staging.
  • Notify supervisors of any inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Assist with routine inventory counts and stock organization.
  • Collaborate with the service advisor to prioritize service needs.
  • Keep an organized staging system for in-progress and upcoming jobs.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the service advisor.
  • Package and process parts for shipment to vendors or manufacturers.
  • Follow IAC safety standards and OSHA regulations when handling, lifting, or packaging parts.
  • Keep all work areas, packaging stations, and part storage zones clean and hazard-free.
  • Safely manage any hazardous or flammable materials as required.
  • Strong mindfulness and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer literacy; experience with dealership or inventory software a plus.
  • Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Collaborator with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
