Pay After 4 Months: $26.39/hour

THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced Floor Technician/Custodian to join our night crew at the Fort Myer Commissary.

This is a hands-on position focused on commercial floor care and general custodial duties. If you have professional experience stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining floors and take pride in doing quality work, we want to hear from you.

SCHEDULE & PAY

• $23.11/hour during the first 4 months
• $26.39/hour after 4 months
• Approximately 5 nights per week
• Shifts generally begin between 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM
• Night and weekend availability is required
• Shift end times are based on workload and may vary
• This is a part-time position and will not provide 40 hours per week

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Strip, wax, buff, burnish, seal, and refinish floors
• Operate commercial buffers, auto scrubbers, and other floor-care equipment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floor surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, work areas, and other commissary spaces
• Empty trash and replenish supplies
• Properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies
• Assist with other custodial and commissary duties as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous professional Floor Technician experience
• Experience stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing floors
• Experience operating commercial floor-care equipment
• Reliable transportation
• Availability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to pass a Department of Defense (DoD) background check and obtain access to Fort Myer
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and regularly lift/move up to 60 pounds
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to stay until the nightly work is complete
