About the Role:
The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This position involves assisting with routine inspections, performing basic repairs, and helping to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. The Maintenance Assistant will collaborate closely with technicians and supervisors to address maintenance requests promptly and effectively. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities support role.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Basic certification in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing trades.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery and equipment.

- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and report findings.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
