  • The position requires eligibility for Virginia licensure in Social Studies, with a preference for dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education.
  • Candidates should have teaching experience in the relevant areas and knowledge of best instructional practices, as well as the ability to integrate technology.
  • Responsibilities include implementing instructional programs, maintaining a safe environment, and communicating with parents/guardians while monitoring student achievement.
  • The salary will be determined based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
  • Candidates are expected to attend ongoing professional learning and collaborate with school administrators, other teachers, and community members.

Qualifications: 

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Social Studies.
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
  • Knowledge of best instructional practices.
  • Ability to integrate technology.
  • Experience in educational and instructional leadership.

Responsibilities:  

  • Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials.
  • Maintains safe and orderly environment.
  • Communicates with parents/guardians.
  • Maintains complete and accurate student records.
  • Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
  • Monitors and assesses student achievement.
  • Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.

Salary: 

  • Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
