Overview
Patient assessment, including physical examination and First Aid and Basic Life Support including airway management, ventilator support, circulatory and shock management, clinical assessment, orthopedic care, medication administration, obstetrics, medical and trauma care and patient extrication and safety.
Responsibilities
- Patient assessment, including physical examination and First Aid and Basic Life Support including airway management, ventilator support, circulatory and shock management, clinical assessment, orthopedic care, medication administration, obstetrics, medical and trauma care and patient extrication and safetyÂ
- Paramedic care is limited to intravenous therapy, endotracheal intubation, defibrillation, and drug administration where approved and authorized by the company and the park medical director.Â
- Recognizes the need for special or additional assistance, including Advanced Life Support, ambulance transport, aero-medical transport, patient extrication, rescue or other services.Â
- Acts in the best interest of the patientÂ
- Physician contact, patient transfer and referral, transfer of care and follow upÂ
- Telecommunication, radio communications and dispatch of resourcesÂ
- Information gathering, reporting and documentation according to established proceduresÂ
- Employee, peer, and public interactionÂ
- Inspection, inventory, maintenance, preventative maintenance and cleaning of grounds, facilities, work areas, vehicles, supplies, and equipmentÂ
- Safety awareness and reportingÂ
- Understands and performs appropriately under the Emergency Response Plan, including disaster and Multiple Casualty Incident (MCI) operations and managementÂ
- Infection control, biohazards material identification, clean up and disposalÂ
- Basic identification of hazardous atmospheres, materials, and incidentsÂ
- Vehicle operations, emergency vehicle operations, and defensive driving, including driving and operating ambulances and other vehicles in a safe manner and is familiar with park and local geography, along with the routes of response.
- Administrative duties may include filling, distribution, computer operations, typing and data entryÂ
- Understands, supports, and follows the Standard Operating Procedures and Patient Care ProtocolsÂ
- Attends mandatory meetings, training and education.
- May assist other personnel with their dutiesÂ
- Must remain alert, helpful, and courteous at all timesÂ
- Promotes a professional environmentÂ
- Conduct Park Safe Behavior Samplings and other park related auditsÂ
- Complete monthly inspections on all Six Flags Fiesta Texas facilitiesÂ
- Conduct safety training as neededÂ
- Promote safe activityÂ
- Complete safety reports and logsÂ
- Follow-up on recognized safety issuesÂ
- Assist Rides with ride unloads as neededÂ
- Complete Fire System ChecksÂ
- Work closely with all Fiesta Texas Team members and management staffÂ
- Maintains a clean and safe working environmentÂ
- Maintaining park compliance with O.S.H.A. regulationsÂ
- Adheres to all park employee regulations as stated in the Team Member handbookÂ
- Follows delegated tasks as assigned by the Safety Manager and Supervisor, or as stated in policyÂ
- Performs other duties as assigned, needed, or requiredÂ
- This position may have potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, other potentially infectious materials and communicable diseasesÂ

Qualifications
- Must be currently certified by TDH as EMT-B or Licensed Paramedic.
- Must be in good standing with TDH.Â
- Must have current CPR (BLS Provider) certification
- Must have good communication and leadership skills.
- Must be able to perform duties listed in the job description.Â
- Texas drivers’ license required.Â
- Must have ACLS, BLS, and Texas State Certification.
