Law Enforcement Specialist

Primary Location: Various U.S. Army Installations (CONUS) – field-based, extensive travel required

Clearance: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)

Ability to work remotely: No – role requires on-site presence at Army installations to conduct assessments


Job Summary


OSG is seeking a Law Enforcement Specialist to evaluate Provost Marshal operations and review law enforcement policies and procedures. This role assesses patrol operations and response capabilities, evaluates incident reporting processes, reviews crime prevention programs, assesses evidence handling and accountability procedures, and evaluates coordination between law enforcement and protection partners across Law Enforcement, Provost Marshal Operations, Crime Prevention, and Incident Management functional areas.

  • Evaluate Provost Marshal operations.
  • Review law enforcement policies and procedures.
  • Assess patrol operations and response capabilities.
  • Evaluate incident reporting processes.
  • Review crime prevention programs.
  • Assess evidence handling and accountability procedures.
  • Evaluate coordination between law enforcement and protection partners.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, Engineering, Military Science, Emergency Management, or a related discipline. Additional military police, Federal law enforcement, or senior DoD experience may be substituted for education requirements where contractually permissible.
  • Army or DoD law enforcement operations.
  • Provost Marshal Office functions and organizational management.
  • Criminal incident reporting and records management.
  • Physical security and installation protection integration.
  • Inspection, assessment, and compliance evaluation.
  • Risk assessment and corrective action development.
  • Executive reporting and senior leader briefings.
  • Required Certifications: Active Secret Security Clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I; Antiterrorism Level I Awareness; FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and ICS 800.
  • Clearance Level Required: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Certifications: Army Military Police or equivalent Federal law enforcement experience; Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Physical Security Professional (PSP); Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; Top Secret clearance or eligibility.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both office and field environments, including on-site assessments at Army installations. Must be able to walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods while touring facilities and grounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during site assessments.

Travel

  • Extensive travel required (up to 75%) to conduct law enforcement assessments at Army installations across CONUS.
