Overview

Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dispatch / Alarm Monitor to support security operations at assigned locations. This position is responsible for monitoring alarm systems, CCTV systems, communications networks, and emergency notification systems while serving as a critical communications link between security personnel, public safety agencies, and facility personnel. 

  • The ideal candidate is a calm and professional communicator who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical security operations, assist in emergency response coordination, and contribute directly to the protection of personnel, facilities, and government assets. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV, intrusion detection, fire alarm, duress alarm, and early warning systems. 

  • Receive, evaluate, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance. 

  • Answer and process calls from employees, visitors, security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and the public. 

  • Maintain effective communication with security personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders. 

  • Relay critical information accurately and promptly to appropriate personnel. 

  • Monitor radio communications and document operational activities. 

  • Control, issue, track, and maintain accountability for facility keys and related security assets. 

  • Maintain security of assigned communications equipment, work areas, and operational systems. 

  • Record incidents, alarms, dispatch activities, and other operational events in required logs and records. 

  • Assist with emergency response coordination and incident management activities. 

  • Maintain situational awareness of ongoing security operations and facility conditions. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 

  • Certified to perform dispatcher duties and meet standards established by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Institute Emergency Telecommunications program. 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally during high-stress and emergency situations. 

  • Ability to successfully pass required background screening requirements. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in a dispatch, communications center, alarm monitoring, or emergency operations environment. 

  • Experience supporting security, law enforcement, military, fire service, or emergency response organizations. 

  • Experience monitoring CCTV systems, alarm systems, or security technologies. 

  • Experience utilizing computer-aided dispatch or emergency communications systems. 

  • APCO, emergency communications, or public safety telecommunications certifications. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of dispatch operations, alarm monitoring procedures, and emergency communications practices. 

  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies and stressful situations. 

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Ability to accurately gather, document, and relay critical information. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. 

  • Ability to operate computers, telephones, radios, alarm monitoring systems, and standard office equipment. 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 

  • Ability to maintain accurate logs, records, and operational documentation. 

  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and operational directives. 

  • Commitment to professionalism, attention to detail, and mission success.
