Salary Range - $140,000.00 - $160,000.00

Hours - 7:30 - 4:30 M - F 


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for integrated project execution within Engineering. Formally leads Project Engineering, driving execution and integration of engineering work from project intake through release. Ensure priority and quality alignment across Project Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to deliver accurate, consumable, and on-time outputs that support predictable manufacturing flow.


Works closely with the Director of Engineering to support execution within the engineering organization, strengthen engineering capabilities, and provide day-to-day leadership continuity when needed. Supports the development of technical expertise and engineering standards across the organization, including low and medium voltage power distribution systems.


  

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Project Engineering team, setting clear expectations for ownership, pace, accountability, and technical excellence
  • Decide project priorities across engineering functions to ensure schedule adherence and engineering standards are met
  • Establish and reinforce consistent practices for managing engineering deliverables across all engineering groups
  • Drive day-to-day execution from project intake through release
  • Maintain visibility to schedules, workload, resource utilization, and project risk
  • Identify risks early and take action to keep projects on track, escalating as necessary to resolve gaps
  • Drive alignment across Project Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to ensure coordinated execution
  • Support technical decision-making and problem solving on complex low voltage and medium voltage projects
  • Partner with engineering leadership to strengthen engineering standards, technical competency, and knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Ensure consistent use of systems and tools to maintain visibility, tracking, and accountability throughout project cycles
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering deliverables, manufacturability, and engineering processes through close partnership with Operations and closed-loop feedback from fabrication, assembly, testing, and field performance
  • Lead problem solving and resolution on active projects
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and development of engineering talent

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience
  • Experience managing managers, not just individual contributors
  • Experience leading engineering execution in a project-based manufacturing environment

  

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly person-to-person, coach direct and indirect employees, and collaborate at all levels
  • Strong understanding of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, controls, and related infrastructure
  • Firm knowledge of UL 891 and familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, UL, and applicable medium voltage standards relevant to
