Maintenance Assistant - Assisted Living and Memory Care Community

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents to ensure safety and comfort

- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and supplies

- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces

- Collaborate with management to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks

- Follow safety protocols and proper procedures when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or a related field

- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques is a plus

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
