- Manufacture custom fixtures and tools to support manufacturing operations throughout the facility.
- Partner with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes.
- Lead workplace organization and standardization activities within the machine shop.
- Collaborate with engineering to develop and enhance training programs for new machinists.
- Support programmers and machine operators during machining prove-outs and process validations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements using objective, measurable data and performance metrics.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new tooling technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for machining equipment and related operations.
- Track and report cost savings generated through machining and tooling improvements.

- Experience in production CNC machining, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing, fabricating, or machining custom fixtures and tooling for manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of CNC equipment, tooling, and machine controllers, including mills, lathes, Fanuc, MAPPS IV, Haas, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.

- Advanced experience in production CNC machining environments.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing design tools.
- Knowledge of industrial IT, networking, or machine connectivity systems.
- Experience creating standardized work instructions, training materials, or process documentation in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success implementing tooling, machining, or productivity improvements that deliver measurable business results.
