In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manufacture custom fixtures and tools to support manufacturing operations throughout the facility.
  • Partner with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes.
  • Lead workplace organization and standardization activities within the machine shop.
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop and enhance training programs for new machinists.
  • Support programmers and machine operators during machining prove-outs and process validations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements using objective, measurable data and performance metrics.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new tooling technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for machining equipment and related operations.
  • Track and report cost savings generated through machining and tooling improvements.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience in production CNC machining, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing, fabricating, or machining custom fixtures and tooling for manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment, tooling, and machine controllers, including mills, lathes, Fanuc, MAPPS IV, Haas, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.

  • Advanced experience in production CNC machining environments.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing design tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial IT, networking, or machine connectivity systems.
