JOB DESCRIPTION: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (ISR)

Who Are We Looking For

 

Reporting to the Director of Sales, we are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will create the first impression for our prospective customers through business development activities and follow-ups on inquiries for our sales initiatives. Additionally, react to and pursue incoming opportunities - develop relationships, actively drive inside sales calls, setup meetings and participate in detailed proposals, negotiations and project management.

 

The ideal candidate will have relative experience in sales of technical electronic equipment related to low voltage power distribution, metering concepts, networking, PLC/HMI integration and industrial communication protocols. They should be able to identify opportunities with target customers, initiate the customer network, communicate clearly, travel for events and meetings across the US and Canada, and provide timely proposals.

The ISR works closely with the Inside Sales Manager, Outside Sales, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to qualify opportunities, support deal progression, and drive revenue. What You'll Do

  • Proactively engage prospects and customers via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Respond to and follow up on inbound leads and inquiries
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and identify qualified opportunities
  • Execute outbound prospecting to generate new business opportunities
  • Schedule meetings and support opportunity progression through the sales funnel
  • Answer customer questions and provide product or solution information
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering on technical qualification and proposals
  • Support Outside Sales by qualifying leads and assisting with opportunity handoffs
  • Maintain accurate activity, lead, and opportunity data in the CRM
  • Operate in a structured, metric driven environment, meeting daily activity targets and monthly revenue goals
  • Stay current on Janitza products, solutions, and market updates

 

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Background in electrical, IT, or technical B2B sales, or 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role
  • Ability to conduct consultative sales conversations with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working in a quota‑based, performance‑driven role
  • Organized, persistent, and motivated to achieve and exceed individual targets
  • Willingness to learn new products, tools, and sales methodologies

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling electrical equipment or technical solutions
  • Exposure to industrial, data center, utility, OEM, or integrator customers
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Experience supporting or working alongside outside/field sales teams
  • Comfortable presenting remotely and participating in virtual meetings
