Job DetailsJob Location: Avl Technology Park - Asheville, NC 28804Summary The Buyer supports the purchasing team with sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials needed for manufacturing operations. This role assists the Purchasing Department by processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, communicating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate procurement records.    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reviews and processes purchase requisitions and converts them into purchase orders.  Tracks orders, confirms delivery dates, and updates the ERP system with current information.  Supports supplier communication by requesting quotes, following up on deliveries, and addressing minor discrepancies.  Maintains purchasing documentation including order confirmations and purchase orders.  Works with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability and resolve basic supply issues.  Monitors inventory levels and notify Purchasing Manager when stock replenishment, such as Safety Stock or (EOQ) Economic Order Quantity is needed.  Conducts basic market research on pricing, availability, and supplier capabilities.  QualificationsSummary The Buyer supports the purchasing team with sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials needed for manufacturing operations.
