CNC Operator

Position Summary

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC mills, lathes and grinders in order to cut and process production parts. Machine Operators are responsible for loading the machines, operating equipment and run parts at or below the production standard.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate all CNC machines (mills, lathes and grinders).
• Manufacture products in accordance with company quality standards.
• Check dimensions using calipers and other measuring equipment.
• Able to perform simple offsets and adjustments for the machine.
• Read and understand simple blueprints.
• Strive to make standard parts per hour.
• Maintain 5S standards for the assigned workspace.
• All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 

Experience and Education Required

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively use basic hand tools.
• Ability to effectively use calipers and measuring equipment.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written communication. 
• Forklift Certified.
• Microsoft D365 Knowledge preferred. 

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours.
