Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday

YOUR IMPACT AS OUR DAY PROGRAM SPECIALIST
You'll be the fun, friendly person who leads members through engaging activities to support their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and pre-vocational growth. Leading groups of 8 to 10 people, you'll plan different activities to encourage independence and skill development while adapting the activities to meet the members' individual needs.
You'll keep the group's energy high and support members in meeting their personal goals. This role also coordinates fun outings and transports the individuals in our 15-person bus. Every day will bring new bonding moments and opportunities to make a meaningful difference!
DAY PROGRAM SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS
- 21+ years of age
- Bachelor's degree in a related human services field
- Experience working with the targeted population (individuals living with brain injury)
- Experience planning and facilitating programming in a member-driven group environment
- Eligibility for NC classification as a Qualified Professional through the Department of Health and Human Services
- Good standing on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry with no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect
- Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a personal, insured vehicle
- 5+ years of driving experience with the ability to drive a 15-passenger bus with a wheelchair lift
Our ideal Day Program Specialist has some relevant licensure (CTRS, LRT, or CBIS), or would be willing to obtain a CBIS certification.
