PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY:Ā Ā 

TheĀ SchoolĀ based therapy teamĀ Supervisor will manage the daily functions and staffing needs of theĀ school basedĀ therapy team in the assigned school districts.Ā Ā Ā

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Ā 

Ā 

  • Leads a group ofĀ school basedĀ therapistĀ in daily tasksĀ and makes recommendations for changes to enhance efficiency andĀ work flow.Ā Ā 

  • OrientsĀ newĀ school basedĀ therapistsĀ to policies, procedures, and processesĀ Ā Ā 

  • LeadsĀ school basedĀ therapists in team andĀ individual meetings on a routine basisĀ for clinical supervision and staffing of cases.Ā Ā 

  • Manages their own caseload ofĀ school basedĀ therapy clients including individual, family and group therapyĀ 

  • TracksĀ staff productivity levels and motivatesĀ team to meet productivity,Ā documentationĀ and clinical expectationsĀ 

  • ProvidesĀ support for SBT staff in times of crisis to support clinical needs in the momentĀ 

  • SupportsĀ SBT staff with training and knowledge of personal and community resourcesĀ 

  • Ability to perform all functions of aĀ school basedĀ therapist including individual, family and group therapy as well as coordination of care with school staff, families, and other stakeholders in the community.Ā Ā 

  • SetsĀ the standard ofĀ excellent customer service and collaboration between SBT and school staffĀ Ā 

  • CommunicatesĀ routinely withĀ director of school based behavioral healthĀ operational successĀ Ā Ā 

  • ServesĀ as liaison betweenĀ school basedĀ therapists and director of school based behavioral healthĀ for purposes of developingĀ appropriate processesĀ to support patient care and productivity standardsĀ 

  • Ensures on call schedule is up to date on the team portal and communicated to the teamĀ 

  • Evaluates processes and make recommendations to maximize efficient patient careĀ 

  • AttainsĀ established standards of productivity.Ā 

  • ObservesĀ all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, both internally and when dealing with external agencies and/or individuals.Ā 

  • ResponsibleĀ for understanding patient’sĀ rightsĀ policy and procedures.Ā 

  • Participates inĀ staff training and development.Ā 

  • ServesĀ on designated committees within the organization.Ā 

  • MaintainsĀ professional standards at all times.Ā ObservesĀ the guidelinesĀ establishedĀ within MAHEC policy and proceduresĀ

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ā 

A team of 6-8 School based therapistsĀ 

Ā 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Ā Ā 

  • MasterĀ degree in mental health, socialĀ workĀ or related field with a minimumĀ of 2 years’ experience. The ideal candidate would also have at least 1 yr of experience in supervision.Ā Ā 

Ā 

Required Licenses.Ā Ā 

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Ā 

  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)Ā 

Ā 

SCHEDULE:Ā 

Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs ofĀ the clients and/or the Department);Ā 40 hoursĀ per workweek; weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionallyĀ required. Work hours will need to be flexibleĀ in order toĀ respond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by theĀ director ofĀ school basedĀ behavioral health.Ā Ā
