Registered Nurse - PCU

• Start Date: Immediate
• Shift: 6:45a-7:15p
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Recent progressive care experience
• Travelers will be required to float to other units if needed. 
• Every other weekend required, no call required
• Estimated Pay package $2100 ( including stipend)

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, promptly reporting changes to the healthcare team for timely interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while educating patients and families on care procedures and health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses in compliance with industry standards.
• Perform necessary diagnostic tests and facilitate coordination with laboratory and radiology departments as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive care, and the proper use of medical equipment.

• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice; compact state license preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Proven ability to maintain calm and deliver effective nursing care in high-pressure situations.
• Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and family interaction.
• Willingness to travel to different locations and adapt to varying work environments.
