Position Summary

The primary duties of this position will be to provide effective communication about production expectations/efficiency to the group and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The individual must be able to take initiative and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. The Production Lead must work independently, as well as cooperatively with all personnel to achieve the plant goals.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
 
Work with Manufacturing Manager and other Production Leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met. 
Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work group assigned.
Create action plans to correct any deficiencies in quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Manufacturing Manager.
Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work to keep projects within the standard hours required to complete an individual task.
Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Manufacturing Manager.
Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
Maintain safe, clean, and orderly housekeeping practices.
Any other tasks/duties as designated by Management.

Experience and Education

High school diploma or GED is required
Fork truck license is required
Technical competency with MS Office products and ERP systems

Physical Requirements

Flexible and long hours sometimes required. 
Physically medium duty work required.
Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
