Overview

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Plus OT)

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the performance of the assigned Distribution Center department to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, continual process improvement, and providing analytical support, conducting root-cause analysis, and owning the update and maintenance of reports pertinent to the needs of the department they report to.  They ensure the strategic needs of the department and broader business are met through cross-functional interaction and partnerships with Distribution Center business partners

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: (The reason this job exists is to perform these functions.  These functions are performed regularly, seriously impacts other jobs, and there are a limited number of employees whom performance of the function can be distributed).

Coordinate the maintenance of communications that support the business needs.

  • Research, communicate, and resolve issues.
  • Responsible for effective and timely communication with DC management (to include DC Leads), as well as the Customer Support Team. Communication is done via phone, email, and in person.
  • Responsible for daily reporting of department activities to the wider business. Ensure reports are accurate and detailed.
  • Maintain and respond to email correspondence with VADC’s internal and external customers in a timely manner.
  • Perform detail-oriented work to track, capture, enter and report information in databases and spreadsheets. Organize large amounts of incoming documents and information. Maintain accurate and organized filing and tracking systems to store historical information related to the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Coordinate the process to prepare and maintain reports and spreadsheets that support strategic business decisions.

  • Responsible for the timely preparation of documents such as:
    • Department-specific reports.
    • Shift hand-off reporting.

Coordinate and participate in department projects.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners and Customer Service teams as needed to resolve outstanding receiving issues and inventory discrepancies.
  • Evaluate all project deliverables for content and quality.
  • Identify roadblocks that may impact deliverable dates and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Be comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

The Exceptions Coordinator will deal with highly confidential information on a daily basis and must use good judgment.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience. Some college course work preferred but not required.

Required Knowledge:         Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, etc)

Experience Required:         DC experience required. Customer Service experience a plus.

Skills and Ability:                  Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals

                                                           Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

                                               Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates within the organization across vertical and horizontal lines

                                               Ability to multi-task with extreme attention to detail
