Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production and facility equipment—including automated systems—to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Supports production by minimizing downtime, performing equipment installations, and contributing to continuous improvement.

  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated systems. Use PLCs, ladder logic, and HMIs for fault resolution.
  • Automation Support: Maintain and support automated production equipment including robotics, conveyors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance on heading, threading, painting, packaging, and automation equipment.
  • Equipment Installation & Upgrades: Assist with setup, installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Machine Setup & Changeover: Support alignment and tooling adjustments during changeovers. Provide operator support during runs.
  • Facility & Utility Maintenance: Maintain air compressors, lighting, water systems, and perform facility inspections.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete work orders, downtime logs, and maintenance records. Communicate repair timelines with production leads.
  • Inventory Management: Track usage of tools and parts; request reorders to avoid downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, and quality teams. Train operators in basic troubleshooting and equipment care.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis and support equipment performance enhancements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. Participate in safety programs, audits, and corrective actions.

  • Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in fasteners or metal forming
  • Strong skills in automation, PLCs, ladder logic, and control systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Skilled in minor machining or fabrication
