Job Description
The Orthotist provides comprehensive, patient-centered orthotic care across inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, and specialty clinic settings. This role evaluates, designs, fabricates, fits, and manages custom and prefabricated orthotic devices to improve function, mobility, and quality of life. The Orthotist collaborates closely with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams while supporting our mission of clinical excellence, innovation, education, and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited program.
· Completion of an NCOPE-accredited Orthotic Residency.
· Certified Orthotist (CO) or Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO) through the American Board for Certification (ABC).
· Eligible for or holding South Carolina licensure, if applicable.
· Strong clinical assessment, patient communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in an academic medical center, rehabilitation hospital, or multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
· Experience treating neurological, orthopedic, trauma, pediatric, or complex rehabilitation populations.
· Familiarity with advanced orthotic technologies and electronic medical record systems.
· Interest in teaching, research, innovation, and program growth.
