Job DetailsJob Location: ASHTABULA, OH 44004I. POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide technical support for the facility in various areas, such as, but not limited to: Semi-Auto Assembly Line, Full-Auto Assembly Line, LCM Press Line, USUN Press Line Automation, CNC Machining, Co-Gen Gas Generators, Boiler, Steam and Heat Recovery System, Air Compressors, Vacuum Units, Cooling Water and Chiller Systems. II. QUALIFICATIONS: A.) Must have 4 years experience in a technical field. B.) Must have a high school diploma or GED C.) Must read and follow technical instructions and be able to apply mechanical and electrical principles. D.) Must have thorough understanding of machine elements and troubleshooting. III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A.) Personnel safety and training to include but not limited to: forklift operation, fall protection, proper lifting techniques, lift and rigging techniques, Lockout/Tagout, confined space training, issue and use of flame permits, MSDS training and updating, ladder, man lift and lift equipment inspections, fire extinguisher and fire prevention training, and personal protective equipment procedures. B.) Institute Preventative Maintenance system for all new production and shop equipment; monitor and update PM program as required. C.) Analyze break down data and suggest equipment improvements. D.) Provide necessary information for purchasing replacement parts. E.) Maintain buildings and all facilities in relation to provide extended life and pleasant surroundings. F.) Continuous process improvements. G.) Other duties, as assigned. The above prescribed duties are set forth as “benchmarks” for evaluation of this job. They are representative of the normal work performed and do not constitute the complete requirements of the job. Physical/Visual Activities Required/Work Environmental Conditions: A.) Sight capabilities to distinguish proper product identification, as well as, warning and operational indicators. B.) Hearing capabilities to distinguish differences in warning alarm indicators and standard operation indicators. C.) Sight capabilities to identify accuracy and neatness of required job assignments. D.) Good verbal/written communication skills. E.) Climb and descend all ladders or steps (whether fixed or portable) on company facilities in order to access all areas. F.) Walking through, under and around equipment with a clearance of 30”. G.) Ability to grasp tools (manual and powered) and use them in accordance with a safe working manner so as not to injure self or fellow employees. IV. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING: Works under little or no day-to-day supervision. Performs all tasks within the guidelines and procedures as written and within Plastpro employee relations policy.
