ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS |
- Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across:
- Six (6) guest room buildings
- Two (2) Town Homes
- Four (4) meeting and office buildings
- Health and Wellness Center
- Main building housing restaurant, café, reception center, and banquet space
- Three (3) Irrigation pump systems for lawns and gardens
- 10 Acres of Lawn Care and 10 planted Garden’s to include Art Mounds, and Water Supply Ditches for Irrigation
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs for guestrooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and mechanical systems.
- Supervise, train, schedule the engineering team members to ensure proper shift coverage for a large, multi-building campus and events.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption and timely resolution.
- Maintain all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, fire alarm, irrigation, and lighting systems.
- Coordinate periodic inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including life-safety and environmental standards.
- Oversee pool and spa mechanical systems; pool certification is beneficial.
- Manage work orders, service requests, and vendor relationships.
- Assist in planning and execution of capital projects and renovations in collaboration with leadership.
- Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to support efficient operations.
- Work closely with Rooms, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Events, and Wellness teams to support operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and preventative care across the property.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE |
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel or resort engineering/maintenance experience, with supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Experience managing maintenance operations across multiple buildings or a large campus environment strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in luxury or full-service hospitality is desired.
REQUIREMENTS |
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and building mechanical/HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety documentation.
- Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Pool and Hot tub Operator Certification (CPO) or similar certification is preferred and or required within 1 year of employment. Â 40 Hour OSHA training course is preferred and or required within 1 year of employment. Servsafe Certification is desired and or required within 1 year of employment. Â Flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS |
- Medium to heavy work required at times:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and access rooftops and mechanical spaces.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in confined or small spaces.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools, equipment, and controls.
WORK ENVIRONMENT |
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors across a 40-acre resort campus.
- Duties are performed in a variety of environments including:
- Indoor public spaces and back-of-house areas
- Outdoor areas and rooftops in all seasons, including cold winter conditions, snow, ice, and inclement weather
- Mechanical rooms, utility corridors, and service areas
- Confined and restricted spaces, including hot crawl spaces, attics, and mechanical chases, which may have limited ventilation
- Exposure to noise, vibrations, dust, chemicals, cleaning agents, and mechanical equipment.
- Work may involve uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, rooftops, and elevated work areas.
- Noise levels may vary depending on work area and active equipment.
- Must be able to work safely while adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA 1910.128.
- Fast-paced hospitality environment requiring responsiveness to guest and operational needs.

Employer-provided Basic Life Insurance and Basic AD&D are provided after 90 days of employment. 401K eligibility is available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment, part-time employees can qualify to participate in a 401(k) plan after two consecutive years of working at least 500 hours.
