The host shall greet members with a smile and address them by name, when possible. When seating guests, offer to check coats, pull out chairs, remove unnecessary settings. For dinner service, offer black napkins to guests wearing dark clothing. Thank guests as they leave and invite them back soon. The host is responsible for programming the POS system with daily menu information, changing out menus, ensuring the menus and host station look presentable, adjusting the lights and music, making sure the host station is stocked with member cards and pens, seating guests, keeping the candy jar clean and full, watering centerpieces, answering the phone and taking reservations, and lending a helping hand, such as light bussing & refilling waters, as needed throughout the shift. Reconfirm upcoming reservations and review the reservation book for errors and oversights. Monitor bathrooms and golf lockers and bring to someone’s attention if cleaning or restocking is needed.Qualifications
