This program combines classroom instruction at a participating college with paid internships at your sponsoring Sloan Implement dealership. You'll learn from experienced technicians, develop hands-on diagnostic and repair skills, and work with the equipment and technology that keep agriculture, construction, and heavy equipment operations moving.


What You'll Do:

  • Learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment through a combination of classroom instruction and paid internships.
  • Develop technical skills while working alongside experienced dealership technicians.
  • Apply classroom knowledge in a real-world service environment.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required college courses throughout the program.
  • Complete required internship hours while maintaining dependable attendance and professionalism.
  • Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a driving record that meets company Motor Vehicle Records requirements throughout employment.


What You'll Bring:

  • Enrollment in a Diesel Technician program at a local college.
  • A strong interest in diesel technology, heavy equipment, and hands-on problem-solving.
  • A willingness to learn, work hard, and grow alongside experienced technicians.
  • Commitment to successfully completing both classroom and internship requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually as a condition of continued employment.
