We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in Atascadero, California. This is a great opportunity to work with a geriatric population and patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility, improve strength, and enhance their overall quality of life. Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and mobility techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards




Requirements

• Active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum of 6 months of recent PTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
