Job Description:
We are seeking a Process Inspector – Level C to support operations at our state‑of‑the‑art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, AL. This facility specializes in inert manufacturing, including the fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware. While the schedule will be driven by unit operation requirements, this position is structured as a 3/12 shift from Friday through Sunday.

Essential Functions:
• Use standard measuring equipment and techniques to inspect products, processes, and procured items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Develop and execute audit plans to ensure processes are followed, equipment is maintained and calibrated, and materials meet all requirements, including shelf‑life controls.
• Work with the operations team to verify products meet specifications and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Evaluate similar processes within the shop and develop standardized inspection methods and criteria to minimize error, mistake‑proof processes, and define standard work.
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes. Collect data and/or assist with research activities, exercising judgment to identify and recommend solutions where errors may be difficult to detect and costly to resolve.
• Troubleshoot processes and identify, modify, and/or escalate out‑of‑control conditions and production escapes.
• Coordinate with maintenance, supervision, and operations personnel on equipment and tooling setup and calibration. Ensure compliance with the calibrated items process and conduct periodic facility audits.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Requires fully proficient job knowledge and skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a post‑secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, is required.
• Must be able to perform confined space entry.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a quality‑focused role within manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T).
• Familiarity with AS9100 and related quality management standards.
