Job Description:
We are seeking a Process Inspector Level D to support the Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, AL, which serves as our inert manufacturing site for the fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware. The work schedule will be driven by unit operation requirements and follows a 4/10 Monday–Thursday structure.

Essential Functions:
• Use standard measuring equipment and techniques to inspect products, processes, and procured items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Develop and execute audit plans to verify process adherence, equipment maintenance and calibration, and material compliance—including shelf‑life requirements.
• Work with the operations team to ensure products meet specifications and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
• Evaluate similar processes within the shop and develop standardized inspection methods and criteria to minimize errors, mistake‑proof processes, and define standard work.
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes; collect data; and/or support research activities, exercising judgment to identify and recommend solutions where errors may be difficult to detect and costly to resolve.
• Troubleshoot processes and identify, modify, and/or escalate out‑of‑control processes and production escapes.
• Coordinate with maintenance, supervision, and/or operations teams in the setup and calibration of equipment and tooling. Ensure calibrated‑item processes are followed and conduct periodic area audits.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T).
• Familiarity with AS9100 and related quality management standards.
