Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Performs in analysis of CBC’s to include reporting, comment and evaluating correct results
  • Performs all daily, weekly and monthly  QC and maintenance on CBC machine
  • Performs moderate complexity Chemistry tests, QC and maintenance on appropriate instruments
  • Performs analysis and QC of all waived and POC testing, to include reporting, commenting and evaluating correct results in a timely fashion
  • Tracking sendout specimens each day for accuracy in ICD and test codes
  • Daily identify patients’ tubes and labs as needed according to the lab orders
  • Distributing the tubes in correct testing areas. 
  • Properly processes  blood specimens  to include using a centrifuge
  • Helps maintain stock levels and distribution
  • Assist Lab Managers in filing and categorizing all Proficiency testing
  • Prepares kits with proper tubes and paperwork
  • Other job duties related to documentation and requests related to lab testing

Duties can vary depending on education.


Job Requirements:

  • 4-year Biology or other Science  Degree, MLT,  CLS, Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant with clinical laboratory experience
  • Must be able to work as a team as well as individually
  • Lab experience preferred
