Job DetailsJob Location: Athens-Clarke - Pavilion - Athens, GA 30606Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: All shifts available!Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, manages, coordinates and directs the safety guards within the BHCC. The safety guards within the BHCC provide persons, families, or vulnerable populations with support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses, physical or developmental disabilities. The role of this position is to ensure the safety of all clients, staff and visitors to the BHCC.. In addition to the standard job responsibilities and performance standards of a Safety Guard, the Lead Safety Guard will be responsible for:   Supervision, Support and Training:   Supervises a staff of safety guards administratively and plans work of assigned staff Attends monthly BHCC Leadership meeting and communicate changes to team. Assists with training staff and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to existing staff on job tasks and documentation. Reports to the Clinical Director on any ongoing workflow or personnel issues Be accessible for day-to-day questions from team. Anticipates problems and responds proactively; troubleshoot concerns and is solution focused. Recommends and implements corrective action plans when programs or staff fail to meet deliverables.   Professional Development:   Participates in internal and external educational programs and professional meetings as available for continuing professional education   Ensures High Quality Services:   Works in collaboration with program leadership to ensure safety needs are being met within Crisis Walk In and the Crisis Stabilization Unit Participates on BHCC leadership Team to: review and modify policies and procedures and assist in development of policies and procedures which promote smooth and effective implementation of project outcomes.   Ensures Adherence to Program Guidelines/Requirements/Expectations:   Demonstrates a diverse knowledge of rules, regulations that govern the agency. Stays current on updates/changes in regulations and requirements of DBHDD and other overseers of services. Ensures ongoing adherence to all agency policies, Understand/implement and ensure all compliance with state, county and federal rules and regulations   Customer Service:   Represents the agency and program in an informed and courteous manner with all external contacts and community linkages Maintains professional behavior when completing tasks and interacting with others as a team member Communicates effectively and collaboratively with others to obtain information Promotes customer satisfaction and assists with resolving grievances, complaints and inquiries Works with BHCC staff in a team approach   Other duties as assigned.       NOTE: The information presented, while not an exact or exhaustive listing, describes the work, performance standards, and qualifications typically required of positions or employees in this job.
