Helping our members is at the heart of what we do! Our Member Solutions department works with our members to stay current on their accounts, ensuring them a secure financial future. Our Member Solutions Specialist will provide administrative support for the department, and serve as a backup to the other team members when necessary. Communication drives this position, and we will give you support and tools to deliver an impactful experience each and every time.

The pay for this position starts at $20.47 per hour, with relevant education and experience considered in determining the starting pay rate.


Duties Include:

  • Responsible for the charge-off process of accounts, including handling maintenance and sending notices to members.
  • Processes court-ordered account garnishments, tax levies, and child support orders.
  • Processes mail daily. Responsible for returned mail: researching bad addresses and reaching out to members to obtain updated addresses. 
  • Coordinates the foreclosure and sale process for residential and commercial real estate.
  • Prepares documentation and files cases with small claims court. Provides testimony and attends hearings when necessary.
  • Verifies member insurance policies and force-places hazard and flood insurance coverage when necessary.
  • Manages insurance claims and refunds for loan protection policies offered to members. Assists members with vehicle insurance claims to ensure loan is fully paid off.
  • Acts as backup to other Member Solutions staff when necessary: collecting on delinquent accounts, arranging payment plans, recommending loan modifications, and establishing account settlement and recovery agreements.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 1 year of experience in consumer credit collections (bank, credit union, or finance company) or equivalent experience in lending or financial operations. Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain composure during difficult discussions with members.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and learn new software. Long periods of time may be spent on the phone.
