The Porter is responsible for the overall upkeep of the landscape and the interior/exterior image of the community. The Porter is a customer service driven team player. Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor. Direct Reports: None. Roles and Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, professional, and OSHA approved work environment; keeping the property litter free; assisting with unit trash outs; delivering notices; reporting time and attendance; making daily inspections of the community; understanding and adhering to Landmark Properties policies and procedures. Customer Service duties include understanding the needs and expectations of residents and exceeding their expectations; developing a sense of community among residents and staff; maintaining a positive community environment for both residents and associates and encouraging participation in events and activities; assisting with the property’s turn. Risk Control duties include understanding, communicating, and enforcing community safety, emergency, and fire evacuation policies and procedures, providing emergency response and referral services and resources; documenting and reporting behaviors of residents that violate the law or community lease agreement to the Community Manager; inspecting the physical condition of the property and reporting any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Requirements: Must have excellent communication and people skills; must possess the ability to work independently; must have attention for detail.
