As a Quality Auditor at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform various product audit functions on excavators and tractors.

In this role you may be expected to:

  • Perform quality inspection based on the check- list of inspection points/procedures
  • Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.)
  • Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
  • Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
  • Inspect products to ensure it meets the specifications
  • Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair

Basic Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Willing and able to stand for prolonged periods
  • Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
  • Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic Skills/Knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in SAP
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with inspection tools and product auditing processes
  • Progressive movement to higher level of responsibility positions
  • Strong working knowledge of Assembly/Manufacturing practices
  • Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to follow Standard Work/ BIQ (Built In Quality)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Heavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavators

Entry wage is $22.19/hour (8% shift differential included). Overtime may be required as needed to support business needs.

 

 

Summary Pay Range:

$20.55 - $25.65

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
