Job Description:
We are seeking a Process Inspector Level C to support operations at our state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, AL. This facility specializes in inert manufacturing for the fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware.

Essential Functions:
• Use standard measuring equipment and techniques to inspect products, processes, and procured items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Develop and execute audit plans to ensure processes are being followed, equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and materials meet all requirements, including shelf life.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure products meet specifications and schedule commitments.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
• Evaluate similar processes across the shop and establish standardized inspection methods and criteria to minimize errors, mistake-proof processes, and define standard work.
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes; collect data and support research activities, using judgment to identify and recommend solutions where issues may be difficult to detect or costly to resolve.
• Troubleshoot processes and identify, modify, or escalate out-of-control processes and production escapes.
• Coordinate with maintenance, supervision, and operations personnel in the setup and calibration of equipment and tooling. Ensure adherence to calibration processes and conduct periodic audits of facility areas.
• Participate in preventative maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Requires fully proficient job knowledge and skills. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a post-secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Must be able to perform confined space entry.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a quality-related role within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T).
• Understanding of AS9100 and related quality management standards.
