Sonic Summary

The position requires a close working relationship between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room to ensure surgeon satisfaction and patient safety.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and either graduate from an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course or possess 5 years of relevant work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of collective experience in the Peri-Operative environment, including Sterile Processing and the Operating Room, is required.
Additionally, candidates should have 3 years of case cart knowledge and experience, along with familiarity with Instrument Management Tracking systems, preferably Microsystems (SPM).
The salary for this role is not specified, but a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

RN Charge Nurse Full Time Nights Cardiac Telemetry Piedmont Athens Regional!

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of a nursing program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Demonstrated clinical competency.
