Responsibilities

Performs a number of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practice. Advances treatment and care of oncology patients utilizing national clinical practice standards. Support physicians and providers with patient care in the physician practice setting. Performs a number of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practice. Advances treatment and care of oncology patients utilizing national clinical practice standards. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) – Serve as an Advocate and advisor to patients and family regarding cancer journey; Proactive member of multidisciplinary team ensuring cohesive delivery of care and treatment plans;  Provide patient education according to national standards, related to chemotherapy, therapeutic infusion, radiation oncology and surgical procedures; Provide in office procedure support ; Liaison for physicians’ practice and hospital services.

Qualifications

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program Required or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
Work Experience
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a practice, hospital, or infusion center Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
  • OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification Preferred
