Catering Equipment Manager

We are a team seeking someone with strong leadership skills and an intrinsic motivation to serve on our catering team.

Description of Position

The Catering Equipment Mover is primarily responsible for loading/unloading, setting up, and keeping track of all catering and event equipment. You will work under the direction of the Event Manager/Headwaiter to ensure all items needed for the even are accounted for. You will be expected to reflect the hospitality, professionalism, and southern charm that is Epting Events in all interactions. Pay will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Travel to events as part of the primary setup crew
• Work closely with the Event manager and warehouse staff to ensure all needed equipment is taken to the events
• Pull appropriate catering equipment ahead of events
• Physically demanding job, repeatedly lift 50lbs+
• Shifts can vary from 10-16 hour days from setup to breakdown with travel
• Spatially oriented and able to efficiently and mindfully organize the equipment on the truck.
• Report to the Event Managers
• Represent the Epting brand in a manner that draws in new clients; a positive, professional demeanour is expected at all times
• Ability to remain calm in chaotic high pressure situations
• Be prepared to work primarily evenings and weekends

An Ideal Candidate

• Comes to us with catering or moving and packing experience
• Thinks on their feet. Epting is a fast-paced business and team members must jump in
• Prides themselves on being motivated, eager to learn, and taking initiative
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Has reliable transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
