TheĀ Part-Time Classroom SupportĀ Teacher supports LeadĀ and AssistantĀ Teachers and classroom teams in the daily operations of Beacon Hill Schools, a preschool serving children from infancy through school age. This role helpsĀ maintainĀ a safe, nurturing, and developmentallyĀ appropriate learningĀ environment while staff absences are covered.Ā

This position is PRN and flexible, with scheduling thatĀ variesĀ week to week based on school needs and support teacherĀ availability. It is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work under 30 hours per week, including those with other work or school commitmentsĀ includingĀ college students in ourĀ college townĀ community.Ā
Responsibilities
Classroom Support & TeachingĀ
- Assist Teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom routinesĀ in accordance withĀ the Frog Street curriculum andĀ Beacon Hill SchoolsĀ best practicesĀ
- Step into classrooms as needed toĀ maintainĀ continuity of care during staff absencesĀ as directedĀ
- Engage children in hands-on, play-based learning experiences that promote creativity, exploration, and growthĀ
- Provide individualized attention and support to children as neededĀ
Child Development & CareĀ
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all timesĀ
- Support childrenās cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through active participation in classroom activitiesĀ
- AssistĀ with diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and daily caregiving routinesĀ
Team CollaborationĀ
- Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and administration in a variety of classroom settingsĀ
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and colleaguesĀ
- Adapt quickly to different age groups, routines, and classroom expectationsĀ
Classroom Management & ComplianceĀ
- Follow all DECAL state licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and Beacon Hill Schools policiesĀ
- HelpĀ maintainĀ a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environmentĀ
- Support daily parent communication as directed by classroom staffĀ

QualificationsĀ

- Strong communicationĀ and collaboration skillsĀ
- PreviousĀ experience working with children preferred but notĀ requiredĀ

Position RequirementsĀ
- High school diploma or GEDĀ requiredĀ
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screeningĀ
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)Ā
- Ability toĀ lift upĀ to 40Ā lbsĀ and engage physically with children throughout the dayĀ
