Industrial Painter Helper

IMI is currently looking for a painter helper located in the Athens, GA area.  The Painter Helper will assist with senior employees. 

Duties of the Painter will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist senior employees with painting equipment and structures for protection and cosmetic purposes.
• Assist in the application of protective coverings to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes. 
• Able to operate forklifts to transport material. 
• Accurately apply basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and conversion of fractions and decimals. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Eye-hand coordination
• Good physical fitness
• Good sense of balance

• Must be able to pass certain health requirements for respirator use to remain in the paint area.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Degree from an accredited technical school; may be substituted with previous experience as a painter or in a related field.
