Job Purpose:
We are seeking an uncommon sales professional to join our team of internal wholesalers as a Regional Sales Consultant. This position is remotely located within the territory and will work in a home office and cover the Southeast Territory. (GA/VA/FL/LA/TN)
This role works closely with the Regional Vice President to grow sales, increase market share, and achieve sales and asset goals for TruStage Retirement Solutions within an assigned territory. Using a consultative sales approach, the role helps execute business plans and supports the distribution of TruStage retirement products through virtual meetings, outbound calling efforts [including cold calling], and marketing campaigns to financial advisors, registered investment advisors, Third Party Administrators, and DCIO contacts.
The position reports to the National Sales Director and partners regularly with sales leadership to drive consistent results.
Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute business plans and sales strategies that ensure attainment of regional sales goals.
- Collaborate as a partner with assigned Regional Sales Representatives, to provide proactive sales and marketing support and to ensure effective and professional proposals and sales presentations.
- Follow prescribed sales process, by generating new opportunities and track through the sales stages for effective pipeline management.
- Document designated activities and other pertinent information as required.
- Effectively and efficiently expand relationships with retirement-focused advisors in assigned territory.
- Serve as key contact for external financial advisors for sales activities, including proposal generation, follow up, Request for Proposals (RFP), and installation paperwork.
- Continuously stay informed and knowledgeable of overall retirement plan industry and products, along with the ability to effectively translate this knowledge to others; build and implement sales strategies leveraging marketplace knowledge.
- Assist advisors in developing higher levels of product knowledge and sales strategies.
- Utilize face-to-face, outbound calling and web technologies to communicate and provide sales strategies and case design to help advisors make new sales, train on new product releases, and communicate economic and industry data relevant to the use of our products.
- Provide inbound telephone support, including answering product questions, following up on requests for information and illustrations and proposals, delivering ad hoc training, and providing timely responses to problems encountered in the field. Utilize contact management tools and data to enhance the level of field support, improve territory management and decision-making.

Job Requirements:
List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history.
- 3+ years of financial services sales experience.
- Proven leadership as an individual contributor and experience in team-based environments.
- Demonstrated sales & marketing knowledge and appropriate applications within the context of a needs-based.
- Capable of presenting technical product knowledge with professional phone skills.
- Proven ability to grow a sales territory.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects while meeting related deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 and 63 and Life and Variable insurance licenses.
- Variable Life License in all states of assigned geographic territory, within 90 days of employment.
- Willingness to travel within territory as needed (10%-20%).

Base Salary Range:
$56,300.00 - $93,800.00Â
