BASIC PURPOSE:
 

Develops and executes communications strategies and materials to ensure employees and external stakeholders are informed and engaged through clear and timely communications. Collaborates with leadership and teams across the organization to plan, write, and distribute content for a variety of channels. Manages the company intranet and supports key external communication initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, manage and execute internal communications strategy to support the Bank’s goals and employee engagement.

  • Partner with human resources, information technology, and business units across the organization to understand company-wide and department specific initiatives and/or changes with impact to employees and develop and execute integrated communications plans.

  • Manage and maintain the Bank’s intranet site, including content planning, updates, and governance.

  • Collaborate with employee resource and community involvement groups to develop and execute communications strategies for internal events.

  • Create and distribute employee communications such as company announcements, leader messages, and plans for town halls.

  • Support the development and coordination of external communications, such as press releases and the Bank’s annual Impact Report.

  • Assist with external-facing content such as corporate messaging, member communications, and corporate overviews.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; detail-oriented; a champion collaborator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to work effectively across departments and build consensus; proven experience and comfort working with senior executives Knowledge of intranet applications and content management is essential.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.

  • Experience in crisis communication and social media are a plus.

  • Experience in agency environment, corporate communications, marketing communications, public relations, media relations is desirable.

  • A strategic thinker, passionate about employee engagement able to work with all levels of staff and leadership across the organization, and passionate about fostering a sense of community.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor of arts/science degree with a major in journalism, marketing, communications, or public relations, with five to seven years experience in corporate communications, including internal communications, public relations, marketing, or similar field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

Work Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Atlanta, GA office. This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.

Work Schedule: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
