About the Role:

The Facilities & Transportation Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction and infrastructure projects related to facilities and transportation within the organization. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. The manager will coordinate with multiple stakeholders including contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal teams to align project objectives and resolve any issues that arise. They will also be responsible for managing resources, schedules, and compliance with regulatory requirements to minimize risks and maximize efficiency. Ultimately, this position ensures that all facilities and transportation projects support the organization's operational goals and long-term strategic vision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with successful outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements in the United States.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Deltek or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience managing transportation-related projects such as roadways, bridges, or transit facilities.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green construction standards.
  • Experience working with public sector clients or government agencies.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline or business management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for facilities and transportation projects
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to facilities
  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, financial updates, and project documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement processes and vendor relationships to secure necessary materials and services.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee quality control and conduct site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications.
