Yard Driver

Overview

As a Yard Driver, you will be responsible for the movement and spotting of containers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse in sorting and processing material for shipment or storage.

Hourly Pay:

$20.00/hr.

Shift(s):

Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm

Atlanta, GA, 30315

What You'll Do

• Prior experience operating manual transmission/10 speed preferred.
• Responsible for the movement and spotting of containers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse in sorting and processing material for shipment or storage
• Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the plant needs
• Drive and operate vehicle in and around the plant and storage lot/staging area

What You'll Need

• Prior driving experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attention to detail required to promote safety for you and others
• High motivation and ability to work overtime as necessary

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate 
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision.
